NT Scan at 10 weeks??? Nevermind - I Rescheduled :-)

Hi ladies,

So at my regular OB appt last week, she referred me to the perinatologist to get my NT Scan scheduled. I just spoke with their office and they scheduled me for this coming Monday and I will only be 10+3 weeks.

I have always read it should be done after 12 weeks? I asked multiple times if it was too early and she said it is fine to come in at this time. I figured if this is a specialist's office, they should know. They said its a 2 hour appointment so I will be really upset if I get there and it turns out I am too early, but they are already thinking I'm crazy for questioning them so much.

Has anyone else gone or heard of someone going in this early?

I had mine yesterday and was told you need to be 11+4 to have NT scan, I was just in the window, phew!

That's the thing. I called and spoke with 2 different ladies at the perinatologist (plus my own dr office) and all three said it was okay to book it for that time as long as I get it done by 13w5d.

I was told I will need to go back about 2 weeks after this appointment for a repeat of everything as that is how they get their results...comparing the scans and bloodwork from two different visits? So maybe that is why I can go in a little early?

It was still nagging at me so I called back...again. These people hate me already Again, she said that 10 weeks is fine, but if I want to move it back a week, I'd still be within the right dates. So I am now going in at 11w3d and feeling a lot better about that.
