Hi girls!

the other day I went for an U/S at the hospital where they also performed the nuchal scan. Everything is ok but I just have one question.
In the report they gave me they mentioned all the organs they were able to see but at a certain point it says: bladder non visible.
The sonographer didn't mention anything so I guess is normal but I wonder what your reports say. I was 12 weeks +1 day when I did it.

Thanks!!

Oh my I have no clue but if it was bad they would have sent you to a specialist I think.. Do you have a follow up u/s coming up to see if maybe it was missed. They might want to make sure on a follow up sono this way they dont worry you for nothing. Could be
nothing. Sometimes the machines they have suck and arent the best or the tech is new.

I'm sure it is nothing serious either. Just probably not visible in the position the baby was in. You could call your midwife - she would be able to help.

Next U/S is at 20 weeks (before Xmas).
This scan was at the Fetal Medicine Unit at St Thomas so I'm pretty sure they had the right people performing the scan. I'm probably worrying for nothing... but thanks Viejita, I'll call the midwife on Monday to ask her.

I had a nuchal scan at 13 wks and on my report it says not checked for all organs. It will be at your 20 wk scan that they check the organs. The nuchal scan is to check for downs etc. I'd try not to worry but if you are worrying check with your midwife.

they probably cant see the baby's bladder unless it is full
