Every time we give our son Nurofen (when he has a fever or something) within about 20 minutes he is off like a rocket. He is running around, rolling about and generally hyperactive. Every single time we give him this medicine. It was the same with Calpol, which we stopped giving him for that reason as the Nurofen seemed to not affect him as badly. But now it seems just the same as Calpol.
Does this happen to any one else's child? Why does it make them so hyperactive? I'm starting to dread giving him any medicine when he is poorly. Honestly he looked so feeble and lifeless, laying on the sofa stripped down to just his nappy. He had a temperature and was very hot to touch. Then 20 minutes later was running around like a Tasmanian devil lol.
