Hiya ladies :)

What nursing bras have you all gone for? Where did you get it from?
Has anyone got one where only the nipple shows when the cup drops down and if so where from?
Thanks in advance, I've looked at that many I'm getting confused and I want to get it right if possible x

i got the ones where only nipple shows and non padded as them ones are anoyin for me x

Where did you get yours if you don't mind me asking?x

debinhams, they had a sale on at the time too :) got booby pads for leakage from wilkos cheap :)

I have this one https://www.johnlewis.com/elle-macpherson-intimates-momamia-maternity-bra/p391467?colour=Jet/Pewter which is a nice fit on me and doesn't leave the whole boob out (although quite a bit is exposed).

Also bought this one (its a boob exposer though) as its soooo comfy on and very flattering. It does have a cup inside which I though would make me look massive but it doesn't. They can be taken out anyway plus there are fixings with it to allow you to convert it to a regular bra afterwards. Think this one will be good for achy sore boobs https://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+...ign=products&gclid=CI688oSK1bYCFUfLtAodW0IAxg (got it at John lewis too but can't see it online there) x

Ps I had two from mothercare but after buying the two above I really don't like the mothercare ones at all now. Think your best bet would be to hit the department stores to try on a load of them x

Not sure if it's available in the UK but the Bravado Nursing bras are my absolute fave. I bought mine on Amazon.com. I've tried others from Motherhood Maternity and Lamaze brand and some from Target but the Bravado ones blow these out of the water. Comfortable, supportive and convenient. They are full cup drop and not nipple though. I have a DD/E chest so it's been hard finding one thats comfy and supportive.

Thanks a lot :) think I'm gonna go and try a load on at debenhams. I have read about the bravado one being really good and comfortable so might order one of those. I'm a DD/E cup too so finding a comfy, supportive one that's not too frumpy is a bit of a mission haha..x

I got mine from simply be as had a 20% off code :D it's really comfy and is one that drops down to show nipple only....the only downside is that they are already getting to small so I dont think they will be any good for nursing :( will probably order same ones in a bigger size though once LO is here and I know what size I will be!

X

Cake Lingerie, Freya and Panache, all have great nursing bras. Debenhams sell both Freya and Panache usually. They're the best because they range from H-J cup as well as smaller sizes - great for nursing when you'll be much bigger.

Here's a review of cake lingerie anyway: https://sophiajenner.wordpress.com/2013/02/26/cake-maternity-and-nursing-lingerie/

I have heard that the reason the BF bras that show only the nipple are not widely manufactured anymore is because they can restrict baby getting a good latch and also can cause blocked ducts as to effectively empty the breast it needs to be completely unrestricted. Most lactation experts and BF support workers don't advise them. For this reason I don't buy that type of BF bra, if you want to cover up while feeding there are other ways that don't involve restricting the breast. For the same reason many lactation specialists advise caution with the underwired BF bras as some can cause similar issues. as well as any crop top style bra for ladies above a DD cup. I love the Emma Jane 428 style it's incredibly supportive and made of a really beautiful quality mercenised cotton, I sew myself and the stitching work on them is top notch too. I have had mine for two years and only now are they starting to wear out so I am getting some more for with this baby xx

I've got 2 bravado seamless silk nursing bras, and there absolutely lush, I'm a medium in them, my bra size is a 36D but I go to an F when my milk comes in, mashoussive boobs! And this bra will stretch and accommodate my boobs, there £28/30 pounds depending on where you get it from, one I got from boots online and had it delivered to my local store, it's easy to take back if it not for you..
I had mothercare in my previous pregnancy and to be honest they don't compare to the bravado one at all.
Hope this helps, x

I got a few of these and never looked back - 18 months of use and I will be still using them for this next baby- they are not cheap but well worth it- the still look like new and are so comfy and easy to use..

Woah, only up to a D? Pretty limited for Elle

I'm going to be a J cup this time the way things are going (and many brands their J cup is not a true J at all more like a small G) xx

Totally feel your pain, I'm up to 34HH already, and pretty sure they will get to at least a J when breastfeeding starts! Fortunately there are some out there, you just need to know where to look. There's a blogger called 'Braless in Brasil' and she's almost 9 months pregnant now, and is a J cup - she blogs about where to find things, which is pretty useful!

Don't worry the bras I want to buy (Emma Jane 428) come in my predicted size it's just most of the ones available in mainstream shops don't :). One of my friends is an M cup while BF so could be worse-she can only get bras specially made xx

im 36E already... what the hell size am i gonna be when they start filling up!!! i used to be a 32D... tbh if baby cant latch cause there is too much material round booby i will just hack off some and stitch the edge to prevent fraying (used to customizing clothing)
