Hi

I was already a 38/40 H in most British brands (well the few that go up to that size!) and now my bra feels like it is too cup sizes too small already. It looks like at some point soon if things continue to go well I'll have to invest in some new bras, in UK sizing this would mean a J cup or larger. Anyone know anywhere that does nice bras in this type of size that offer good support and yet don't cost more than £30? Don't suggest mothercare because I find their sizing a bit on the small side and their bras never fit me properly no matter if I try on every possible size from a G upwards. Also if anyone has a chart with the equivalent American and continental sizing it would help tremendously because the continential sizing uses different numbers and the American (and many bra companies are american) have a few extra double letters in their sizing than us but most websites don't seem to take this into account and act like say a 40J in US sizing is identical to one in UK sizing when its not....

I am ordering this one later, I will let you know. £9.99 £2 P&P seems to good to be true but worth a try?!

Hi

thanks hun I will certainly check that link out....surprised I didn't spot it on ebay myself as I'm always on there lol. I've found some by Royce lingerie as well which look ok; but obviously cost a lot more; still around the £23 mark though....

No they shouldn't but sadly most 'mainstream' manufacturers don't make bras in my size and the few that do all their sizes tend to be a similar cost; in other words super expensive....

I am also well-endowed and have found that the most comfortable bras for me have come from Bravado. I don't know if you get this company in the UK, though?
I am now at the stage where I can't wear underwires anymore, as the added weight of my boobs presses down on the wires and makes them really painful very quickly. so I have switched over to my Bravado bras and tanks.
There is some droop as soon as you lose the underwire, but I'm going to choose pain-free over perky on this one, personally. :)

i went from a D to an F/FF with my last pregnancy and found it really hard to find a maternity bra to fit me, mothercare seem to only go up to E :/

as im now pregnant again and still have my F/FF's from the last one im dreadin wat they will grow to this time.

but thanks for this thread, big help, im definatly goin to check ebay and bravado now :D

I suffered with the same issue, I was already well endowed 32H, but during my pregnancy I have shot up to a 32JJ in regular underwired bras
I was desperate to find some nursing bras before the baby came, and so last weekend I went to a Bravissimo shop and managed to get two Royce bras. Because they were fitted in store I actually came away with a "Sadie" bra in a 32J and a "Charlotte" bra in a 34HH (This bra is a little tighter around the back than most, and because I went up a back size I went down a cup size). They were £24 and £22.

I was also considering ordering some from the nctshop website as they have a few styles in the larger sizes, although I do find it hard to buy bras without trying them first.

Good luck in your quest to find something, I really wish that the manufacturers would realise that there are plenty of women out there in need of larger sized nursing bras:wacko:

Yeah I'm the same... got measured at M&S only to discover that I'm a 36JJ - she came back in with a 36H and says 'that's as big as we do, it'll need to do you!'

Think a visit to Bravissimo might be in order!!

I am having the same problem I have went into a 38 I and I can't find for the life of me a bra my size. I am so worried as to this is my first pregnancy and Im not sure how much more they will grow

sarahka yes we do have bravado but while I'm not sure about the US and Canada over here there is only one style available in my size and its only available in maroon and cream (both not exactly my faves), their crop top style and nursing tanks are now too small for me; I had them in my last pregnancy but I was the very last size they were supposed to fit then (as they are multi sized); and now there is no chance lol. Its a shame as I don't mind wireless bras; in fact I haven't worn a wired one for years. Bravissimo and Fig leaves are good but I am in the largest back size they do and they tend to cater more for the smaller back sizes but larger cup sizes; they do have some in my size but they are a lot more limited. I think I will get measured at M&S and see what size I actually am. A 38/40H was perfect for me before and it took me years to find out my correct bra size; and now I have to go through it all again lol.
