Hi
I exclusively bf my daughter to 6 months and continued feeding on demand once she started on solids. She was feeding first and last thing, mid morning and mid afternoon. I was considering trying to cut out the 2 daytime feeds and continue with the first and last of the day ones until she was ready to stop (within reason).
She had a hectic birthday weekend and as a result of over tiredness, teething etc she bit me when feeding sunday evening. I reacted as I shouldnt have and shrieked and to cut a long story short, she has refused to feed since. Ive spoken to anough people and read enough to know that the suddenness of this and her distress especially at bedtime are signs of a nursing strike not self weaning. I'm dustraught about the way this has all happened.
If she had done it gradually and was happy about it, then I'd deal with it whether I felt ready or not but that's just not the way it has happened
Any advice or positive stories gratefully received!
