Hello everyone!

I am nursing my 14 month old daughter and my husband and I are beginning to think about (well...let's face it, I've been thinking about it since she was born...) when to have another. The thing is, I would LOVE to continue to breastfeed while I'm pregnant and then tandem nurse but my daughter was born at 35 weeks, and so I may be more prone to having another preemie this time around. The research seems inconclusive about whether or not breastfeeding will cause early labor, but most of the things I've read say that if you have a history of preterm labor you shouldn't breastfeed while you are pregnant. So I am going to talk to my midwife about it at my annual exam next month, but I'm curious if anyone knows anything about this subject, or has breastfed while pregnant with a history of preterm labor and gone on to have a full term baby. I thought about maybe nursing her for the first few months that I'm pregnant. I really want to nurse her at least 2 years, but if I absolutely shouldn't breastfeed while pregnant, I'll probably wait until she weans (which wouldn't be ideal because I'd like my children somewhat close in age).

I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks!!
