Nursing while Pregnant

Dry nursing is where your milk starts to change back to colostrum later in the pregnancy and continue to BF but there's not much of anything there. It doesnt happen to everyone but apparently if it does, it hurts like feck!

My friend tandem nursed and is also a breastmate....she's never mentioned it either. Don't worry about it as it may not be a prob....hopefully not eh

Just to say that I don't think it was the dry nursing that hurt that much, it was the fact that my nipples and breasts became more sensitive (still are in fact)

i dried up completely at about 8 weeks, but it was already going anyway before i got pregnant tbh. at 8 weeksish i stopped completely - katie wasnt really feeding much anyway, went cold turkey and didnt even leak or get engorged (except one boob a little bit!) then my colostrum started coming in about 12 weeks! yesterday i picked katie up and aws like, my boobies feel wet - they were leaking!! will you tandem feed if heebs will??

Eeeek! Never heard of dry nursing before?! I'm pregnant and still nursing too! My DS is not interested in getting weaned and loves to suckle at night in particular.....Oh,dear....I thought I knew everything and today I learned something new about breastfeeding...

I breastfed Toby till I was about 19wks pregnant but I kept contracting when I fed him. It was painful and I was worried about losing "Smudge" coz of my irritable uterus and pre-term labour history but mine's an unusal case so hopefully you'll be just fine.


I must say I never noticed my milk drying up....expressing wasn't as efficient but that's just the stage we'd got to. Erin's 6months old today and I'm struggling to express and I'm defo not pregnant
