Hi gals!!!

I have actually been TTC since february... back in january, we thought I was pregnant (as we were not TTC yet, or even talked about it, yet), but it turns out, my delay was due I have PCOS! Its been an off and on TTC, due to personal things going on (vacations, my mom getting a surgery and me having to leave the country 3 months to take care of her)... but all this time, Ive been trying to do some research... after january, DH and I really want a baby, and we realize thats what we want.

My research begun after my gyno prescribed me to take 2000 mgs of metformin... my body just couldnt handle it. I felt sick all the time, with nausea, heartburn, dizziness, weakness.... it was too much!

Afterwards, I got kind of depresed... I couldnt believe there was no medication that could help me! So... I googled, and of course, I kept in touch with some wonderful ladies in here, and found out that with a non gluten diet, I could improve things! (because of PCOS). So I started in may! I stopped eating pasta, bread, rice... anything that could have gluten.... also, I "tried" to eliminate sugars, grease, anything that is overall not so healthy! Also, I started going to the gym!! I couldnt continue with such discipline, after my mom called me, and I had to spend 3 months in Florida taking care of her, however I continued with the gym... in those 3 months, I realized, that I can have regular cycles... just like that! instead of having 50 days cycles, I started getting 35 days cycles...

Last cycle, after I returned home with DH, and we started TTC again, I started charting. And guess what? I Ovulate!!

However, even tho we tried really hard, I got a BFN, and AF showed up on CD34, meaning y cycle got shorterby 2 days.

As I cant find that famous soy isoflavones that I so wanted to try, and I thought there is not much I can do to "give a hand" to my body,I came out with this:

Sunflower seeds!! I read that 1/4 cup daily, has a lot of vitamin E, known as the fertility vitamin. Also, it says that vitamin E helps the liver degrade excess estrogen in endometriosis (My gyno suspects this can be my case too).

So Im giving sunflower seeds a try. Why not? Do I have something to lose?

I started this topic, so maybe we can all share nutritional secrets that can help us to conceive without having the need to take pills or any medication... what do y´all think???

Im on CD9, and Ive started eating it... I will update this topic telling you whats going on!!!

I´d love if all of you come with great ideas! :D
