Our daughter's name is Nyla, and while it wasn't my first choice name, I love it now.
Most people like her name when they hear it--they think it's really cute. A few people don't listen and call her Myla (Mila) or Lyla (Lila) initially, but everyone pronounces it correctly when they see it spelled out (which is why we went with the phonetic spelling). If I work at pronouncing her name clearly (Ny-la) rather than saying it super fast, I suspect that even fewer people will mispronounce her name, as once I correct them they totally get it.
