O/T im so pissed off

Hey I hope your landlord changes his mind! I just wanted to add my two cents that cats are for life and ask if you would definitely be keeping it when you get your bfp and have your baby? I hope this would be the case hun! Anyways I've had cats my whole life in many many different houses/apartments and they have never caused any damage to the carpet. Honestly the only damage I've ever seen a cats do was my roommates cat who used to claw the side paneling in one hall. I think most cats are pretty well behaved though as long as they get enough attention and playtime. Anyways hope he changes his mind so you can get your kitty. If not I 100% recommend a rabbit as they are very affectionate and bond with their owners. My rabbit acts just like a cat/dog. Love him to death. But research rabbits before you get them they do come with alot of responsiblity also. If you are looking for a companion animal a rabbit is great!! Sorry this became such a long post. Good luck with your kitty and your bfp :dust:

Well that's weird. What about a bird? I have a cockatiel, and he is so much fun, and he's very social! I would have to say he is excellent company when DH is not at home.

Also, I haven't ever had a cat myself (I'm allergic) but I know lots of cat people and I have never heard one of them complain about the cat ruining the carpet. Haha Blinds are another story, but they are easily replaced.

i know, im fuming! they sqid they have taken advice from other cat owners? i dont know anyone with a cat who had had any problems x

Haha, the blind one is a new one.
Sneak the kitteh in.
We have ;)
x

IS he scared the kitteh will wreck something?
Because they don't.
Our kitteh scratches our bed at the most.
Nothing else.
You just tell them NO!
x

yeah his carpet and blinds, but we wontlet it, itl never be on its own plus everone says they dont wreck carpets and even if they did we would pay to have them fixed

HAve you told him this?
Kitteh's are really lovely y'know.
Placid and what not.
Mine is layed asleep now.
They do that mostley sleep.
x

Can you not ask him again, nicely?
Explain the pro's and say - as me being cat expert, they are really placid and well behaved.
They don't scratch if you get them a scratching post.
x

I'm totally with Becca - try talking to him again. As long as there are scratch posts and training they should be fine and he might not know that you're prepared to pay on the off chance that there is any damage. xxx

illget hubby to ask tonight. im just so fed up girls idk whi im so emotional abbout it but its devastated me. im so lonely. i just dont think hell change his mind. the carpet was only fitted in dec so maybe thats why he doesnt want to but wel obv get it a scratching post and a bed and all that and pay if it does fdo any damage x
