Hi Everyone - ok so my hair needed topped up - so i done a strand test of b blonde poweder bleach highlift, i did researching before it which stated that there was no link to cause any hard to baby etc... just said to make sure to do it in a ventilated room etc... so while waiting for it to develop it states at the side of the box not to use if pregnant or on pregnant women... i feel so stupid and guilty now :( esp cuz im only 4 weeks :( i read it didnt do harm :(

Hi :)

Did you put the bleach straight onto your head or did you use a cap, foils etc? I spoke to my hairdresser when I was 6 weeks gone about this and she said that basically all bleach is the same except some have different strengths for a quicker effect. She said that aslong as it isnt touching your scalp for too long, then there shouldnt be any problem or any risk to the baby x

BBlonde is bleach - and can give off fumes. Stay well ventilated and you'll be fine, and be warned you may not get a perfect colour like you normally would - hormones can make colours and bleaches go funny tones!

But from a hairdressers point of view, you are fine, just stay well ventilated and try not to apply directly to the scalp

Thanks girls! def in a ventilated room im freezing lol! i had read all that b4 i did but when i seen it in black and white ive panicked... i have peeka boo highlights so it wouldnt be touching my scalp too close.. soon as i feel it tinglying ive been taking it off.. think i might just dye my hair all over brown again and means i dont have to worry about it till after baby born xx

I attempted to change to a nice medium brown colour a few weeks ago but it ended up a mess...only took to certain parts of my hair due to amount of bleach I have had on my hair over the years. The bita that did take are now very washed out. As atomicpink said, this could also be due to hormones. The only options I was given were to go a very dark brown (which I have done previously and took an age to get back to my normal colour) or instead of bleach, you can ask for a high lift tint instead xx

omgoodness well hormones must be playing a huge part.. normally takes me two bleach applications to get it a light yellow blonde and then i apply toner... well done 2 applications there and its hardly budged its not a reddy brown - i just done the other part last week with the exact same stuff and it lifted brilliantly... just goes to show ya... ive a box dye of brown here just going to use it couldnt be bothered with all this lifting if my hairs now going to be like this lol xx
