OH has only ***UPDATED P3***

Just rang and they said they can put it on intrest only for 6 months, I was expecting the payments to be well low but they are still £270 per month! dont know if benifts will cover that as they cant tell me what or how much we will be entitled too until monday morning when he is classed as unemployed

well its OH's last day of employment today! and i just got a phone call to say hes been called into the office to see his boss and he will phone me when he comes out.
well he rang and said they are making him redundant and paying him redundancy money BUT hes starting again from new next monday!!!!!!!!! so hes got a week off and his money and his job back!!! what a relief! BUT i knew there was a catch...£130 less per week, which is fine for now as long as we pull our purse strings in a bit!!
So we are going to see about a little break at haven in a caravan for a few nights :happydance::happydance:

aww thats fantasic news hun, dont ya love it when a plan comes together x

Thanks hun, I cant belive it has come together like this so extatic, just going to be a lilttle tighter with money
:happydance: xxx

thats brill hun, shame about less money but atleast he's still got a job. enjoy your little holiday. x

that happened to us a few months back, so annoying when ppl used to say it will work it self out but in our case it did lol

yeah everyone was saying oh dont worry it wil all work out! and iwas thinking yeah right, we might loose our home and things but no it did work out! we are going to sit down and work out all our money cos things will be a bit tighter for a while but thats ok as long as he has a job! just looking on net for a last min cheap deal to go to haven for 4 nights :D xxx

you need to sit down and ATILL work out your finances every month JUST IN CASE he does lose his job
Our mortgage is £1K a month and then bills on top means that husbands wage only just covers it and thats with NO GOING OUT so we are sitting down this weekend to work out what if anything we can put aside each month

Awwww, that's brill news, really pleased for you even though money will be tighter...it's better than nothing!

Have a lovely break....and a little bit of advice is that due to the way the crunch is mortgage insurance is always a really good option to look into...you can get a policy that protects you for 12 months worth of payments should times ever be hard due to illness or unemployment..I know it means laying more cash out per month but always something to consider when you are back on your financial feet again!

Enjoy your mini holiday!:hugs:

he has lost his job and will be a new employee next week even though he has been there 6 years. I think thats what they were planning all along, just to drop his wages. We look through our finances all the time and we never go out either lol, but because of this slight drop in wages we will need to see how much we will have left each week. we have been so lucky with money last few years and even with this drop we will be ok as OH will do overtime each week to top it up x

Fab news hun, now breathe xx
