I can't find any dresses I like for my bridesmaids that tie in with my colour scheme and that are within budget and I'm seriously getting fed up now I've been searching online for the past 3 weeks and its exhausting!

Why is it so hard! Doesn't help that one of my bridesmaids won't wear a knee length dress because shes tall and would prefer a long dress so that doesn't help when searching :hissy:

I have 4 bridesmaids to buy for though 1 of them will be wearing a suit and not a dress) the other 3 are different sizes so I have to find a dress that will compliment their weights iykwim.

I did come across some gorgeous dresses by florence and fred on the tesco website and that are really cheap but a) not sure if they would be formal enough for a bridesmaid and b) not sure if it would look good on all 3 of my bridemaids and c) its knee length.

ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Anyways rant over. Can I ask did you pick your bridesmaid dresses because you liked them (regardless of whether they liked them or not) or did you get their input too. I feel like buying the dresses and saying its tough tittes if you don't like them or not lol. x

have you tried ebay? think i paid about £20-25 each. they were cheaper when buying more than one.
i got mine from a seller on there who had a shop so i could order different sizes.
i told my bridesmaids my colour scheme and got them all to look for dresses, emailling the different things each other found. it came down to a choice of 3 and luckly they were all happy with the final choice.
will try to find you a link.

Oh nooooooooo, im lucky i only had 1 to buy for!!

Have you tried Coast? They had some nice ones, thats where i got mine from!!

Thanks Charlieann tried ebay but theres nothing on there I can find that I like. I got my girls dresses yesterday so wanting to work the colours around them so am thinking satin black dress with hot pink sash and ebay don't have anything like that :( x

Yep tried Coast they have some beautiful things but nothing that will work with my colour scheme :hissy:

I have since found 2 dresses on asos and 2 on boohoo.com that are plain black and can buy sashes seperately then those dresses on tescos website so going to see if my bridesmaids like any of them.x

Like CharlieAnn i got mine from eBay.

I showed all my BM's the dress and luckily they all quite liked it. It can be worn strapless or with straps which was good for them  x

I had 3 bridesmaids, we chose the colour together (oyster) sitting on the floor in the shop and I let them choose whichever style of dress they wanted but in that colour.

Here, you can see what they went for. Oddly the 13 year old wanted exactly the same dress as my 24 year old MoH :winkwink:.. we let her have it and then my mum put a panel in the chest to give it some modesty on her! My younger bridesmaid is a tomboy but the shop found the design she's in and we had it made in the oyster material. They're all by Jim Hjelm.

Those dresses look great and not that different

Mine were from BHS
I have one tall bridesmaid and one that as only worn a dress once in her life.....at her wedding.
Managed to find a dress for the flower girl to match the colour scheme as i didn't like the ones from BHS. Ebay for that one

Thanks ladies I've finally found some dresses and decided that if my taller bridesmaid finds it is a bit small in length on her that she can change into something more comfortable when the reception starts.Right now we can't afford to be picky and as a friend said to me the bridesmaids are there to compliment me not outshine me.x

maybe get your bridesmaids to buy thier own dress? i hear its pretty common nowadays?

I'd feel to cheeky to ask them to buy their dresses plus its our wedding and us asking them to be our bridesmaids so least we can do is get them their dresses.

I've found some really cheap evening type dresses that would look great as bridesmaid dresses and they can be worn again after the wedding too. x

Hi hun yes theres another thread I have started with pics of the dresses in. I'm going for the 2nd dress in my post. x
