Anyone else in a dilemma? we were both adamant that we didn't want to find out the gender but now OH has decided that he would like to know. I kind of wanted to keep it as a surprise at the end, now in a dilemma. if he knows i won't be able to not ask........anyone else having this, or even the other way round?

Eek! Im the opposite - I want to know and he doesnt!
Either way im finding out, I just wont tell him and i'll hide my purchases from him or buy yellow lol x

Hi

I had this with my first baby. My husband wanted to know but I was adamant I didn't! I was worried if he found out then he would let something slip or give the game away! In the end he agreed to wait until the birth. I was so glad we did as it was a lovely surprise and kept me going through the labour! I would ask him to wait if you are sure you don't want to find out.

Hope you can reach an agreement :)

I want to know... he wants the surprise! ughhhh... means i'll have to wait, i suppose i am just being impatient!!

Im in the opposite boat. I want to know so bad and he doesn't. My last pregnancy I was prego with twins, a boy and a girl. so everything we bough was some what netural so it matched. This time I want to go all out on either all pink stuff or all blue stuff since I didnt get to last time. I told him that I will find out but he doesn't have to and he brough up a really good point.. I cant keep a secret. I know I would tell him within 5 mintues after I found out. Lol. I guess I will have to just wait until we are a little further along to see if he changes his mind! I hop you have a less complicated issue with this then I do. lol. Good luck hun. Just know you are not alone.

I would talk to him and explian your reasoning, say it will help with labour, get you through the pain etc and try to convince him:) after all it is your medical procedure, so you should get what you ask for:)

Thats just like me! I really dont know what to do about it. I keep telling him how they dont always get it right, but even that doesnt help. He wants to know if they have good judgement in checking the gender or not. Grrrr!!!

I'm in a very fortunate position by the sounds of things because we both want to know! I want to have either a pink room or a blue room!!!

Hi, Im just having a nosey at threads!!

My friend is pregnant and got her 20week in a couple of weeks. She dosent want to find out, but her OH does. Shes agreed to find out as its what other half wants. Like she said shes the one that has the great experience of growing the baby, and feeling its kicks so why not let OH have his little say!! I know it would be a nice suprise as uve carried a baby for 9 months, but wont the suprise of having a little ba-ba be overwhelming enough!? Hope you come to an agreement!! xxx

Thanks everyone, it is nice to get different outlooks on it and bumpyboo you're right, he doesn't get to do much else during the pregnancy so i guess if I agree it gives him some say and involvement. thanks!

me and my hubby had different takes on it as well he wanted to know and i didn't so we had a 4d scan i saw my bubba and i looked away when she scanned to see the bits and bobs or lack of them lol and afetr she had finished the scan i left the room and she informed my hubby of the gender but not me and i actually didnt find out until my lil boy was born that he was a boy my hubby kept it to himself and any thing he wanted to buy went under lock and key so i didnt see any colours etc lol x

i like the thought of not knowing the sex and think i could do it but OH dont want to, and i want the nursery all done for the baby with their name up and everything, and i dont want to make OH run to the shop to get a pink outfit or a blue outfit for the babies going home... unisex clothes are so ugly
