ok im abit scared now, please read

i had my 31 week antenatal today and babys head is already engaged, well she just said it was right down there, im really not ready for her to come i no it doesnt mean she will yet but i just cant help but think every braxton hik i get i think oh no, any advice or reassurance would be appreciated, thanks


when is the babys head supposed to fully engage because it seems really early if its now

Babies can engage from very early on, my friend was fully engaged from 22 weeks with her daughter and she didn't come until full term, fine and dandy.

There's not really a given time I don't think.

I wouldn't worry about it, as I say, they can engage and then do nothing else for a while.

My baby's head was 'right down' from very early on.. he didnt actually fully engage til the last week and he still ended going over my due date. So dont worry hun xx

My LO has been engaged since 34weeks, so I wont worry too much, just means that they are getting ready, my mw told me that it was a little early but said perfectly normal at the same time.

Everythin will be fine.

I have a scan booked for a couple of weeks, when ill be nearly 33 weeks. The midwife said it was just to check the growth. Is it normal to have one then? I seem to have had scans at different stages to everyone else i know!!

Yeah growth scans are pretty common. I had one at 36 weeks, and am having one again on Tuesday where I'll be 38+2.

I Had a few with my second child Aly hun , No apparent reason . Sometimes i think they just do lol . And he was a massive 8lb lol .
I think they allso offer routine growth scans to smokers , Not sure but think they do . xxxxx .
