Now that I'm not pregnant anymore I'm really itching to go out for a couple of drinks :) don't judge me! HA so anyway I was wondering how long does alcohol typically stay in your system? Just curious as to how much I need to pump :) and I don't plan on getting plastered anytime soon, so just a couple beers worth (although that probably will get me plastered after this long without one!)

If there's no alcohol in your blood, there's no alcohol in your milk. So when it would be gone from your blood/system, it's gone from your milk.

Depends how much you have, but if you don't feel drunk, I think it'd be fine to feed.

I have no tolerance for alcohol now that I've gone so long without it. I had ONE glass of red wine the other night, and Isabella slept for 8 hours straight overnight. Very not typical of her! Oops!

I've had the odd glass of wine... it didn't affect me, so I figured it was fine to feed LO

An odd unit isnt dangerous. Until I found out I was pregnant again, I would have a glass of red a couple of night a week. I go by if you're ok to drive you're ok to feed. If you've had a few then you can pump and dump to avoid engorgement and feed again when you are happy it's out of your system. :)

I used to express feed, so if i wanted to drink i would express a few feeds to freeze before hand, then use them, and express and dump for 24 hours after drinking. I wa slucky though that my lot were used to bottled being exclusively express fed.

I've been wondering about this too, thanks!

if u wanna express its a idea to give them a bottle every so often as zac my little boy had a gap and then it was a nightmare trying to get him to accept it again xx
