Old wives tales and myths

I'm curious as to how many of these were true for you. All of my symptoms and even my Chinese gender predictor have pointed to girl. I do know that I only BD'd right before Ovulation though so it makes me kind of think boy. I've been craving all sweets, chocolate, ice cream, fruits. Which I've heard is a girl, I'm not showing yet so I can't say I have a high or low bump xD
I had some nausea from 7-9 weeks but it wasn't awful.
I haven't tried the ring test yet, and everyone thinks it's going to be a girl. I'm trying not to get my hopes up that it'll be a girl and then it turn out to be a little boy.

What myths have you found were true for you?

Most of them were correct for both of my pregnancies.

With my son the heart beat was in the 130 range, I carried him super low and had little to no morning sickness. Also the Chinese gender chart said boy.

This time around I had morning sickness for a few weeks, heart rate is in 160's, ring test said girl and Chinese gender chart said girl.

I'm still not convinced these have any real meaning though I think it's just 50/50!

chinese gender, bad morning sickness, cravings, ring test, heartbeat, ovulation timing - all pointed to girl with both of my boys... So the myths didn't work for me, but they certainly helped me convince myself that they were girls! In fact, with DS1, we stayed team - biggest surprise of my life was seeing his little boy bits at birth

i will say, though, i still don't understand the whole, carrying high or low thing, so maybe that one would have worked for me? i don't know.

Had no morning sickness and my intuition was boy.
Cravings for sweet things, hb was 145bpm first time I heard it and I seem to be carrying quite high which pointed towards girl.
Baby is ALL boy so my intuition was correct

My GP told me where you carry baby is dependent on your abs and nothing to do with gender.

With DD I had one of those basketball bumps - EVERYONE said / was convinced boy...

With the Chinese predictor I get predicted girl or boy depending on the site.... so not convinced!!

Yeah I've noticed that depending on the predictor I use it'll come up either way but the one that everyone I know used it came up right every time. My intuition is strongly saying girl but I'm doubting myself and saying well maybe it's a boy x) Either way I've got a 50/50 chance of being right. Also my hair hasn't grown any faster or thicker, which I heard happens with boys because they produce testosterone. Not sure how true that one is, My nails have also been the same. Not more brittle not stronger, not growing any faster.

I've had a few small break outs but luckily (yet) its not middle school all over again. I'm hoping it doesn't get to that point

Chinese gender was opposite with both kids now, symptoms with my daughter (1st tri) were very boy like and vice versa with my son.

The baking soda test has been spot on. xx

Completely 50/50.

My 2nd was opposite to first was a girl too.

i dont think any truth behind baby heart beat.

My mom did the ring on a string test and it swung in a circle, another sign towards girl x)

Those things are just for fun, I've never believed any of them!

The Chinese gender predictor said girl for my son, and I didn't try it with my girls. As for the carrying high or low thing, I carry low down with all my babies because I have a long body. My bumps never come up very high!

I've heard it depends on how toned/lax your ab muscles are. Which I will probably carry low because my ab muscles are like nonexistent x) I'm sure I will get tired of everyone saying its a boy if Its not.
