Older mums - how long did it take you to conceive? UPDATE BFP !

I voted 5-6 months as technically it took 5 cycles from when we decided ttc to get pregnant however our circumstances are slightly different as me and my oh don't live in the same country. I tried to work my visits in to when i thought would be the right time so in reality we conceived the 2nd month i was there at the right time, which was on my 37th birthday!

I was 32 when we started TTC no1. Caught within 3 months, lost that one at 10 weeks and 6 weeks later caught again with DD. I was a month off 34 when we had her. I had made sure I had been off the pill for 5 years before TTC. After Emilia was born I had the copper T coil put in and we decided to start TTC about 15 months after she was born as I would then be 35 and classed as an 'older mother'. My coil was taken out 31st March, we thought we would leave it to fate for a few months and start taking things seriously about July time.

I caught within 2 weeks as I'm now 5 weeks pregnant!

I have been taking the preconceive vitamins and making sure I had the pill out of my system. Don't know if that helps though!

It took us 18 months for the first one but I was on the pill for over 10 years and it took me a long time to clear it out of my system.

The second time round, I got pregnant in 1 cycle.

Just an update for those interested. I got my BFP yesterday at 11dpo. Very nervous but excited too. That was cycle 4 for me so added it to the poll.
