What are your thoughts on Olive for a girl? My husbands great aunt on his mom's side was named Olive, and the more I think about it the more it grows on me.

Yes I know Drew Barrymore's daughter is Olive.

What are some good MN options for Olive?

I automatically think:

the fruit/veg (whatever the hell it is)
the colour
then popeye

I love it!!!!

Olive Anne

Think Isla fishers dd is olive too

It is cute! (I will admit I think of Pop-eye too, Lol ).

Ya I know the food and pop-eye references will happen. But I think I could over look them because I like the name enough they don't both me. LOL

I like Olive, Olivia, and just Liv. I can't use any of those though because my cousin is named Olivia, nn Liv or Livvy.

As for mn:

Olive Marie
Olive Renee
Olive Autumn
Olive Rae
Olive Nicole
Olive Louise

I love it, had it on my list if i had a girl. I would have used Olive Kate.

I adore it! Personally i like it more than olivia, and i love drew barrymore too so im loving that she named her dd that :)

I know a girl called Olive, she uses Oli as a nickname. She loves it though, she said a lot of people compliment her name.

Out of the list someone else posted for MN's I think Olive Rae is a beautiful name.

I like it. It does sort of make me think of olives...but then again i can imagine it growing on me & quite liking it. :)

Its different, not sure if I'd use it myself though

I know a little girl called Olive. Wasn't keen at first but has grown on me.

There was a sonographer at the hospital when I attended for Lucas' scans called Olive, definitely works :)

I like Olive better than Olivia.

Olive Elaine
Olive Elizabeth
Olive Annabelle
Olive Charlotte
Olive Kate
