My doctor hasnt put me in for NHS funding.. i cant afford this, she said shed do it! she hasnt!!!!!! Its over! if i cant get this funding its over

Has the doctor said why she hasn’t put you forward for NHS funded fertility treatment?

We were initially rejected for funding as endometriosis and a blocked tube was not considered a good enough reason for IVF! Lord knows who draw up the criteria.

We appealed and were successful. We only get one go though after that we have to fund further treatment ourselves.

Get into contact with your doctor, does this letter say who would be doing the testing? If it does try and find their website, it may include some info with regards to funding. If you want help with looking let me know hun

Im quite suprised they assumed you would be going private since you went via your GP

Yeah i agree with PP. Go back to ur GP and say the letter has come through but its not funded. Ask if she can apply for funding from ur PCT. Also you could contact the private company and ask do they get NHS paid referals x

Im going to my dr's first thing tomorrow and im gunna break balls there is no record of me being on any NHS funding for me. im entitled to it as its not my fault and this is my only chance!!!

I rang care she was ever so nice and said the referal came with no funding attached and the box for NHS funded was unmarked, so she hasnt done her fucking job, she even said there would be a letter saying denyed funding but theres nothing! i wanna die now! how much fucking more do they wanna do to me! the tests are over £250 just for bloods to check im healthy

jesus this is really stupid! all u can do is talk to ur doc get her to do her job correctly and just sit tight (i no alot easier said then done) least ur close to ur family so u dont have to go thru this alone

i no she hasnt been denied im just making the point that the nhs do more for people who are in a certain way thru their own fault rather then getting things right for ppl who need help and that they will spend thousands on druggies and smokers and only give funding once for ivf!

sorry id rather give my money to ppl who need it for good rather then to have £5000 spent on one persons rehab for them to just go back n buy some drugs or put sum1 thru a lung transplant cuz they smoke for them to not quit

Can you not make an appointment to see FS .... or just deal with the clinic directly if they accept NHS funded patients?

she is back in ireland and no there a private company that do NHS work when there fully covered otherwise they charge you! my doctor new all this and she hasnt done her job.

When u see the GP 2moro, ask her to fax over confirmation that the treatment is to be NHS funded, so hopefully it will ease the delay a bit. It sounds like thats all thats happened, she hasnt ticked the funding box x

she cant tho, i have to have confirmation that the NHS will fund me, she was ment to apply for the funding which she hasnt so i have nothing. if shed just forgot 2 say i was funded fine but she hasnt even applyed!
