Good to hear you might finally get some answers. I was very interested to read your thread - thank you
. I'm hypothyroid and was shocked at how LITLLE my gp knew about hypothyroidism and pregnancy (he initially told me to stop taking my thyroxine when I got preg!!!
). Have seen a consultant at the hospital this morning (only because I pushed the issue) - and I'm so glad - my dose was wrong, etc. He's said he needs to keep an eye on me and I feel so reassured that FINALLY someone is listening and someone has answers.
I suspected I may be deficient in calcium for a different reason, because I'm dairy/lactose intolerant, so have less calcium in my diet than Joe Average. I asked my MW if I needed to take a supplement and she shrugged it off, saying I prob didn't need it.
Maybe it's like locking the door after the horse has bolted, but I'm starting taking calcium tablets immediately so that if I am lucky enough to get preg again then I know I'm doing all I can for my LO.
Thanks again
