omg so so scared

Well same has happened again but i spoke to mr. Miagi (Mr. Mykate but hes my yoda so hes been renamed) and he said there is reason to be concerned but not enough to pull her out ctg and doppler scan today show she was ok felt her 3-4 times so im trying to be greatful for that small ammount but hes said if at any point i want i can be admitted and have 6x a day monitoring i hav a doppler scan and growth scan and everything else but i am now seeing the fetal midwife so im being screened for all the rarer issues x

Thanks for the update catmummy, good news that she's doing well today and that you are seeing the fetal midwife.

I hate when they do this.. put all of the decisions on the patient... they are the medical personnel and we need their advice!! Whenever they do this to me, I always ask "if this was you or your wife, what would you do?"

I agree with the last Poster, the medical staff should be taking control more! Hope you are feeling good today xxx

Hi Catmummy,

I haven't really posted on these forums much although I have been checking it out for a year now, not much of a typer I suppose. But having read your post I felt the need to reply. I had my daughter just over a week ago at 31wks by emcs after having reduced movements for a week or so. I kept going back because I just didn't feel quite right and was told each time that everything was ok. It was only when I broke my waters and started bleeding that doctors took notice and within hours she was delivered and put into a neonatal unit. Reduced fetal movements isn't something to take lightly. Please listen to your instincts.
Its great to hear that she is doing well and hopefully everything will turn out just fine.

Thanks everyone for all your reassurance i was begining to think i was crazy!! Everyone telling me she is fine but couldnt feel her shes had 1 movement so far today bit its my birthday so im really hoping she picks up a bit lol x

Happy Birthday :cake: I hope she picks up today

If you are still not happy with her movements go in and make them listen to you :hugs:

Aw thanks hun im planning on relaxing today and mayb will feel her if i de stress ( just for one day) just felt her again so im going to spend the morning with my partner and 2youngest and then when my oldest gets back hav a yummy dinner muffin for my cake and then a hot bubbly bath while trying to pretend im not obsessing about movements lol!! X

hey catmummy!! happy bday! I hope you have a good day!! and that little one gives you lots of movements!!

Hey ladies i saw th fetal specialist today and theyr talking about induction at 36 weeks because shes measuring small i will include a pic later of my grow chart. Im happy to go with the drs opinion on this because i have numerous other problems with th pregnancy. Has anyone else delivered at 36 weeks and able to keep baby with you or have they had to go to nicu? X

*Hugs* I just caught up Cat, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and apologize for not being on as much as I was in the beginning of our journey. I'm here if you need to rant or vent.

My cousin had her son at 35+5 he stayed with her in hospital and they were discharged 2 days later. I had my son at 41+6 and he ended up in the nicu. It's totally possible she will be able to be with you if she's fit and well because 36 weeks isn't that early but it will really be dependent on her health. Thinking of you. :)

Aww dragon and mrs bump i really apreciate that! Because the painkillers i was on she needs to stay in for a bit to make sure she ddnt get withdrawal im just really hoping she can stay with me those days!! Xx

Hey Catmummy.

I haven't had a baby at 36 weeks, but I'm sure all will be good. I'm happy that your fetal specialist is taking good care of you.

It is a distinct possibility that I may have mine early too, and after a lot of reading was happy as long as I made it past 30 weeks. 36 weeks is fantastic, and like pp have said it really depends on the baby.

Big hugs :hugs:

Kim

Wat is going on with you if you dont mind me asking? And it does seem very hit or miss. I had steroids at 28/29 weeks so im hoping that being in my system for a while will give me an added extra help x

I have a thin uterus wall and they are worried about me rupturing.. they told me before I got pregnant that they wouldn't let me go past 35 weeks... but things have been going well so they are now trying to get me to 38!! I am frightened to death! My goal was 28 weeks.. most comfortable with anything past 30.. you have had the steroids so that's amazing! You have been having trouble with your gallbladder right? I had mine out 1.5 yrs ago... feel your pain.

To me you are in the good zone.. clearly we would all love the babies to stay in longer but they do soo well when they have to come early with all of the advances o technology.

Good luck! I will be stalking :)

Kim

Helloo well here i am again hospital with reduced movements and pain and just generally feeling unwell. Now just come off the monitor it looks on the low side for her her average is usuall 130bpm today its 117 bpm, and no movements x

So sorry all this is happening catmummy. Hope your other children are doing ok at home too. I'm glad you kept getting checked and hope they have some answers for you.

:hugs: catmummy hope all is okay :hugs:
