Here's a calculator.

I now weigh the same as my H, and it will only go up!! :(

Aww don't feel bad hun. Perhaps you should try eating more foods that are protein rich...they'll help keep you fuller longer. I also found that if I eat fast food I'm always hungry soon after...so I try to cook most of my meals. I'm not saying that you eat a lot of fast food, but I can tell you that when I was preggers with DS, I ate out a lot, was always hungry and gained nearly 50 lbs. This time around I cook a lot (or OH cooks for me) and I find that I'm not hungry as often. Just some thoughts. :flower:

During both my pregnancies I put on a stone a trimester, I'm only a size 8 so it was hard work!

Here is what you should be aiming to gain by the 40th week of pregnancy
according to your pre-pregnancy weight.

Pre-pregnancy BMI BMI Total weight gain Rates of weight gain
2nd and 3rd trimester (average range/week)

Underweight Less than 18.5 13kg to 18kg (28lb to 40lb) 0.5kg to 0.6kg (1lb to 1.3lb)

Normal weight 18.5 to 24.9 11kg to 16kg (25lb to 35lb) 0.4kg to 0.5kg (0.8lb to 1lb)

Overweight 25 to 29.9 7kg to 11kg (15lb to 25lb) 0.2kg to 0.3kg (0.5lb to 0.7lb)

Obese 30 or more 5kg to 9kg (11lb to 20lb) 0.2kg to 0.3kg (0.4lb to 0.6lb)

Use NHS website to work out your BMI to see which catagory you should be
following (ie: if you were underweight or overweight pre-pregnancy)

oh no i just done the weight gain calculator and it says i am 5lb over :-( looks like more exercise or something is needed.

I was weighed at 26 weeks and i'd put on 6.5 kilos which my consultant said was the perfect weight. ONly three months to go! x

I'm only 23 weeks and I've gained about 20lbs...the charts say that I'm over but my mw hasn't said anything about my weight so I'm not worried.

wow mine said i shud have gained 6.8lb but wen i was last weighed at 21wks i had gained 2.2lb!!

got mw next tuesday so will get her to weight me again then and se what iv put on in 4wks. dont feel iv put much on to be honest but im overweight anyhow lol

Where Do I Stand With My 20.06 lb Weight Gain?
Based on your pre-pregnancy weight of 117.94 lbs., we calculated your BMI to be 18, which is considered underweight according to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies. This week you should weigh between:

130.94 and 132.94 lbs

You are 5.06 pounds over the high end of of your target weight range. During your first trimester, you should gain between 3 and 5 lbs.. Thereafter, you should be gaining 2 lbs. per week until the end of your pregnancy.

At full term (40 weeks pregnant) you should weigh between:

145.94 and 157.94 lbs
Total Target Weight Gain: 28 to 40 lbs.

Apparently I was too skinny before pregnancy, and now I'm too fat... can't win!
