Hello Ladies,
Here is my situation. DH and I have been trying to get pregnant since last oct/nov, so nearly a year now. We conceived DS easily within on month of trying! He is now 3 1/2 years old. I have had blood tests, HSG test and DH has had his sperm tested and everything is perfectly normal! It's very frustrating as I cannot think of what could possibly be preventing a pregnancy. I am 26 and DH is 25. We are going to get referred to a fertility specialist if it doesn't happen by Nov. From all your experience with secondary infertility what was your diagnosis? I am really trying to figure out what could be wrong! I should also mention, I do ovulate and have normal menstrual cycles. Any input here is appreciated.

I've found that some babies take longer to conceive than others. Unfortunately, just b/c you conceived easily on the first, doesn't mean it will always happen that way. At least, that's my experience.

Sorry, I know that's not much help.

I'm in the same situation. I am 27, OH is 26. DD was conceived first cycle. We have been trying to conceive our second since June of last year. I have been to a specialist. Bloodwork seems fine. I had an HSG done to check for blockages because I had a c section with DD but that was clear. I have another appointment in November at which point OH will be tested. The doc doubts its an issue with OH b/c we already have a DD. He also suggested I try medication at that point too. I guess you'd say it's "unexplained" which is very frustrating.
I am going to acupuncture on Tuesday for the first time. I've read that it can be benefit those of us experiencing "unexplained infertility."

Thank you for the replies. Jodi let me know how the acupuncture works out, I have also heard it's beneficial. Good luck and baby dust!

I am in a similar situation. We are ttc #2 and are dealing with primary infertility and MFI. I am also doing acupuncture and I really think it's helping. I have also read a book called Inconcievable (the author experiences Secondary Infertility and overcomes it.) It describes infertilty and how it relates to a healthy lifestyle as well as a mind/body connection and it was very inspiring to me. I now feel like it is definitely possible for me and I am NOT giving up!

Good luck to you :flower:

Another book to add to my list!! I've read a few, but the only one I've found helpful is "The Fertility Diet" (unsure of author at the moment). A lot of the info in it really made sense. I've made some pretty big changes to my diet. Hopefully it'll make some difference.
Acupuncture is tomorrow! I can't wait. I could use the stress relief as well! And a total hour and a half of quiet to myself sounds like heaven after a day in an elementary school!

The second book, The Fertile Female is a must read. It explains how everything "counts", from what you put in your body to the thoughts and emotions that course through you. It really spoke to me. Happy to help :flower: Good luck!

Hey just wanted to say you are not alone.
DH and I have had every test except the HSG -- my RE doesnt think I need it because I got pregnant 3x on the first month of trying (2 of them I miscarried). Have been TTC#2 for 14 months now. No diagnosis. I'm 29. DH is 37. The one thing I did notice is that I dont make the same amount of egg white cervical mucus since having my kid. Maybe i damaged my cervix during the delivery. So I am going to try Preseed lubricant with the Instead soft cup this month.

Good luck! We have tried preseed off and on in the past. EWCM isn't an issue for us most of the time. We are going to try using it again this cycle, along with softcups. FX for lucky cycle 17!!!!

Hey OP, we're in the same boat but I've just been referred by my GP for testing. What tests did they do for you? I'm curious what's to come.

I'm 26, DH is 37, we conceived Laura in 5 months with no issues but this has been a year now and 3 early losses. GP seems to think I have no prob conceiving just carrying.
