Well, I've been down this road already and recognize what's to come. My symptoms stopped last Wednesday accompanied by spotting, cramps and lower backache which has carried on to today. It's now starting to turn red. I visit my doctor tomorrow but I feel like I know the inevitable conclusion sadly. When I bleed, I lose babies. I feel stupid for having had any hope this time.

Sorry for being a downer.

On a more hopeful note - has anyone had 3 m/c's in a row and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

Aaah hun Im so sorry. Ive had two losses this year at 5-5-5 weeks and I know it can be heartbreaking. I saw a fertility naturopath and she put me on NAC and Wobenzym and baby aspirin and so far this pregnancy is going much better (but of course Im not out of the clear yet). A very good friend of mine had three miscarriages in a row and is now a month away from her due date with #4 (will be her first live birth) so it can happen. They never found causes for hers, but did genetic testing on the 2nd and third fetus and the second was normal but third was trisomy 16 or 18 I cant remember. Her story gives me hope. Have you had any tests done yet? So sorry this is happening :(

So sorry your going through this. I hope its not the case.

I had 2 children without difficulty. Then I lost 3 pregnancies over a 2yr period before falling pregnant with my 3rd. We tried for a 4th and had 2 more m/c before falling pregnant with my son. Despite not been on contraception from the time no3 was born no 4 wasn't born until his sisters 4th Birthday.

I am now expecting a very surprise 5th baby although it looks like this pregnancy wont result in a baby

Thanks for the hope laughingduck! My doctor told me if I had another miscarriage I would be referred to a fertility doctor but I have also just started with a naturopath so would love to see what options they have to offer. You're lucky you were able to get testing. That is my biggest fear now - the bleeding is starting to pick up and I don't see my doctor until tomorrow morning so we may not be able to do any testing if it happens at home... I just can't think about collecting anything :(. I know the first loss I had was chromosomal but don't know what the second was...

Olivia - I'm so sorry to hear of your current situation but also thank you for sharing your experience with successful pregnancies after loss.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I'm not trying to give you false hope, however, my last pregnancy was a miscarriage and I bled. This pregnancy I actually heard a heart beat just last week and I've been having spotting to light bleeding ever since I was supposed to start my period. Also my symptoms come and go sometimes >.> it freaks me out, the spotting also freaks me out. I keep holding on to the fact that I SAW a heart beat a week after we only saw a yolk sac so therefore it had to have grown despite the spotting.

Hang in there! You don't know until you go to the doctor or it actually happens. My fingers are crossed for you.

Do you find it very easy to get pregnant? Reason I ask is because the thing my friend and I had in common was we both found it extremely easy to get pregnant. I got pregnant every time I tried (except the first month after mc as I have anovulatory cycles after mc). My daughter we were not even trying. Apparently there is a theory that some women are hyper fertile. Basically all fertilized eggs implant for them, even ones that have chromosome problems. Most women's bodies would not let these eggs implant, so although it takes them a little longer to get pregnant, but they wont miscarry as often. Anyway when I sas you had one chromosome abnormality it made me wonder if that could be your case. Here's a link to some reading on it if you're interested: https://www.livescience.com/22706-super-fertility-recurrent-miscarriages.html

The other thing my naturopath had me do was take coq10 for a couple months before trying again to improve egg quality.

I hope you get answers :hugs:

I had 3 in a row, but they were all chemicals (lost by 6w). They said they didn't think testing would show anything, so I was put on femara and progesterone, and on my first cycle with it had DS!

Sorry to hear that you are going through this. I can only imgine how tough it must be. Hang in there.

Thanks Rei. I appreciate the sliver of hope. I actually had spotting at 8 weeks starting the day I had my ultrasound and saw a healthy little heart beating. Unfortunately, the intensity of the spotting and cramping now at 10 weeks this past week - especially now that it's quite red - has taken my optimism away. This is almost identical to how my last miscarriage went down. Thank you for sharing your experience with me though - I am happy you have a healthy little bean despite the spotting :)

I do find it super easy to get pregnant! That is so interesting to hear but would make sense. I have always been able to get pregnant my first try. And considering the fact I am 38 so there is more likelihood for me to have egg issues as it is due to age. I will read that article - thank you so much for it! Interesting the naturopath gave you something to improve your egg quality - I will have to look into it once this all passes. Thank you SOOO much laughing duck. I greatly appreciate it!

Oh no :( Was so hoping everything would be ok for you. Hope all goes ok at the doctors xx

I'm so sorry :( There is literally no worse feeling in the world than a miscarriage. I am still hoping and praying for you!

UPDATE:

My water broke yesterday morning at 7.30am. I started bleeding heavily and my husband took me to emergency where I lost the baby and was admitted, put on an IV and sent for a follow up D&C. I am thankful they will be able to do testing and I will now be referred to a fertility specialist by my doctor now that I have had 3 in a row... :(

The positive is that I don't have to hover in worry and limbo with this over the holidays, I have a definitive answer. I also have an amazing and busy little 4 year old who will keep me distracted through this so I don't have to sit and worry and feel sad constantly.

Im so sorry to hear that. Im glad you're staying as positive as you can. I hope you find some answers. :hugs:

Thank you laughingduck - I really appreciated the article you shared about highly fertile women and am going to talk to my naturopath about the medication you mentioned for egg quality. Best of luck in your pregnancy :)

I'm so,so sorry :( Been coming here to check how you are. I hope you heal quickly and that you get the help you need for a successful pregnancy in the future xxx

Sorry for your loss AliDubs

Interesting I seem to be 'super fertile' too. I lost two and had two healthy pregnancies. I'm 36 now.

Thanks for the info about hyper fertility. That seems to be me, too! First try two times in a row...and the first three I wasn't trying or preventing. Hoping this one sticks. 3 live births (8-10 yrs ago), one mc, 6wks+1day pregnant now.
