One Born Every Minute is back

I think she's doing so well. Give her some credit girls... she's so young, scared and has done it all with no pain relief. I think she's done fab

ETA - I see credit is being given. LOl x

The younger girl... did you see the little baby's face when she started getting all panicked when they said they were taking her down to check her out? The little baby was looking at her face because he probably could tell that she was worried/concerned.

It would help if they encouraged her to feed as bf stimulates vasoconstriction at the placenta site.

Ventouse? The hb was a problem. Already calling herself useless. :(

Sorry but she didnt even look at her baby once until they told her to, even then she looked away and never looked at him again  I had all sorts of hands down there (or should I say up there) and didnt feel a thing cos I was so wrapped up in staring at the beautiful person I just brought into the world...... But hey..

I thought both did fantastic. Especially the younger mum doing it on no pain relief. She was obviously scared but still she did amazing.
If a women asks for a hand to be taken out, can the mw refuse? Normally they say 'tell me if its to much and i'll stop'

Legally I would say no they certainly don't have that right but this MW said no!

I felt so sorry for her, she was literally begging :(

if my MW said no to me like that she would have told to feck off and to get me a new one

I think both did so well whether they had pain relief or not at the end of the day they both gave birth.
Sorry getting on my high horse just upsets me that people only ever say how well a women did when she had no pain relief yet say nothing about how well someone did with an epi?!?
I had an epi after 24hours of strong contractions & he was back to back & they stopped giving me a top up of the epi an hour before I started pushing & I felt a hell of a lot of pain trust me!!
Just because you have pain relief doesnt mean you didnt do really well x

:flower:

oh its hard both way hun tbh i think, i just think people say wow well done because quite a few not all mind just go straight in and get what ever drugs they can have, and the fact she was 17 and did that even when she sounded in so much agony..

Aslong as the baby comes out we all do good

Ah the last episode of OBEM made me cry. The older lady who had the baby (I'm not sure if it was a ventouse or forceps delivery in the end?) made me cry. It sounds silly, and I feel really bad saying it, but it made me a bit jealous because her baby started crying so quickly. My LO was ventouse delivery and had to be resuscitated, so I didn't hear him cry for ages :(

Usually this thread is buzzing but it's gone all quiet!

Looking forward to see the twin delivery- the second mum has a sad story :(
