My wife and I are in the middle of the dreaded 2WW. This is our 3rd round of IUI and with a change of RE's it's been a perfect cycle. My wife and I are a bit older she just turned 36 and I'm 46. We had a little boy in 2009, and miscarried in 2012 at 10 weeks. In both cases we used clomed, but after several cycles with no luck we went to a RE #1 and did IUI twice, but my wife felt the personal service was lacking and we decided to start fresh with new testing and a new RE we love.
Other than our age fertility issues are minimal my wife has PCOS and is overweight which is typical with pcos. Our new tests suggested that we had the ability on paper to conceive so here we are. Its been a long road for the last 6 years.
Our plan is finish this IUI cycle and see what comes. We are prepared to do IVF, but our RE suggested 1-2 rounds of iui before going down that
road.
Our official test date is 11/20 and this time we plan to not jump the gun and test early.
