I had a problem with my right breast for a while. Feeding from it has been extremely painful (left side feels perfect).
I suspected plugged ducts because my areola looks and feels quite lumpy. Applying heat right before a feed usually cleared the lumps and only the initial letdown was slightly painful and the rest completely normal.
Yesterday feeding from that side...it was all of a sudden SO painful that my entire body was drenched in sweat. Going to seek advice on Tuesday but till then I don't think I can feed from that breast as normal and will try to pump.
Any advice on how long I should pump for? Or how many times? Should I pump at every feed or every other feed? Is there a chance my supply would decrease even if I pump? I don't plan to feed DD anything I've bumped and planning to freeze it.
Thanks ladies.
