Only nursing for occasional night feeds?

So my little guy was exclusively breastfed for the first 3 and a half months, and then back to work complicated things and we had to supplement when I couldn't pump enough. Fast forward a couple months and he is mostly FF now, but I have been nursing him for his last feed, night wakings, and first thing in the morning.

My milk supply is running low, and I don't think he's getting enough from his last feed and morning feed; he fusses like he's frustrated the whole time. I might start using formula for those… but can I keep the night waking-feeds? Will there still be milk there? He doesn't seem to nurse like he's hungry in the middle of the night, more for comfort to go back to sleep… so even if it's only a few drops… should I still nurse? Some nights he doesn't even wake up for a night feed, so I'd probably dry up pretty quick I assume :nope:

Any experience with this?
