Hello ladies! We found out a few weeks back that we are having our second boy! I was wondering what your opinions were on the name Casey Murdoch Darcy. Murdoch is for sure the middle name after my DH's grandfather and Darcy is the last name. TIA!

I like it. I think Murdoch would be a great first name actually. I knew a really nice, cool guy in high school with that name.

I love it hun :) we are thinking of calling our boy Harvey, we won't be having a middle name. I can't seem to find anything else I like more than this!

This might get re-directed to the baby names section like mine, they r really fussy on here x

It sounds nice when you say the full name but Casey Darcy doesn't sound like it flows well to me. It's sort of rhymey because they both end in a "see" sound.

I agree with a PP, I think it sounds nice altogether but Casey Darcy doesn't flow very well.

I think middle names are hardly used so he will be known as Casey Darcey and it is very rhymey. I don't think it works together.

Murdoch is such a cool name, if someone introduced their baby to me as Murdoch I'd be very impressed!

Casey is also not as strong a name as Murdoch either in my opinion.

My name is Casey (and I'm a girl) so I really have a hard time seeing it on a boy. Still a good name though ;) But I'd have to agree that it sounds funny with Darcey as a last name.

I didn't read the thread very thoroughly and thought it was for a girl... as I was about to comment I realised you meant it for a boy.... not my cup of tea. Sorry.

Too rhymy for me with the first and last. All together it sounds good, but most of the time his middle name won't be used.

Agree with the others, I don't like the double -ey sounds. I think the name is alright for a boy, actually the first Casey I think of is Casey Affleck.

Thank you everyone for your opinions. I was worried it would rhyme to much, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't just overthinking it. Back to the drawing board! Lol. Why do boys names have to be so much harder!

I actually see Casey as a more masculine name. But I agree with PPs that it's a little too rhymey with Darcy.

I'm my opinion I think cus your last name is darcey , I would Use a strong male name rather than a unisex name altho I like the name casey but like everyone else has said casey darcey is too rhymey x

I like Casey but it doesn't work that well with the last name in my opinion. Too rhymey.
