I've been struggling to find dresses for my bridesmaids that we are all happy with and that comes within budget even more so now as we have to cut back on other things to afford a decent photographer. As we are having a registry office do I feel we don't have to do the full hog of getting proper bridesmaid dresses anyways and at least these dresses can be worn again and not left in a wardrobe gathering dust.

Well I've finally found 2 dresses I like but not sure which ones to go with. Both have pros and cons.

The first is this one

The pros are I love it the material is lovely and I am in love with the shoulder detail on it. The cons are that its too short for my tallest bridesmaid and it only goes up to size 14 and not sure one of my bridesmaids will be able to slim down to fit into it for the wedding :(

And the other is this one which is the cheapest out of the two (in the pink and not yellow though)

The pros are that as its a maxi dress it will fit my taller bridesmaid and the material appears stretchy (theres a video of a model walking down a catwalk in it) so should with any luck fit my other bridesmaid too. The cons is that I aren't sure if it is weddingy (I know thats not a word lol) enough or not.

I would really appreciate your thoughts.x

I like the second one as it is elegant where as the other one is more of a going out party dress.

I prefer the second one, the first is a bit '....' I'd stick with elegant and classic.

The second one is much more wedding like the first is a bit pub to club.

I don’t know if this might be a sort of compromise

Thanks ladies I've been swaying more towards the 2nd one purely because I know my bridesmaids will feel more comfortable in them so am glad you all think the 2nd one is the better option too. x

Hi hun I want to be able to buy in the uk because one of my bridesmaids is on a diet and don't want to buy from China to find it doesn't fit her. Bit wary of using overseas companies. x

personally i like the second one :D depends on your budget but asda now do a wedding range andquiz also have lovely dresess which might be able to be used as bridesmaids dresses depending on ur colour scheme

Thanks ladies well all my bridesmaids have agreed on the dresses too so that now another thing ticked off my list. All we need to find now is shoes for myself, headbands for my girls, photographer and wedding cars. Oh and transport for our guests and a entertainer for the children at the reception. Then its just a case of paying it all off lol. x
