Hi there! well i had my heart set on the name Danny when i was told i was having a little boy only to be told at my 20 week scan Danny is actually a girl!!! Sooooo that name is out the window and iv heard lots of lovely name suggestions for girls but none that are like THATS THE ONE! but one does keep coming back to me and that is Ashlynn :flower:

I Really like it and so does OH and its been stuck in my head for a while now :) im not going to completly decide until i see her little face but just wondered who else here likes it or Doesnt, I wont take offence if you dont like it (why else would i ask) :haha:

Also wondered what it could be shortened too? my friends Daughter is called Ashia and she gets called Ash now that shes 16/17...although Ash kinda reminds me of cigarette ash which isnt the best

thanks

x

Yep ashlynn is nice hun, She'd get ash probably but some people may call her ash, lynn or ashy x

yea i think your right it definatly would be shortened down, i guess if she didnt like it when shes older she could call herself lynn lol!

xx

I do quite like it but I think i prefer Ashleigh . Anyway, its a pretty name and if its a name that you keep coming back to then its got to be a serious contender . xx

I like Ashleigh too but its the usual story i know someone called Ashleigh so trying to avoid naming the baby with the same name as people we know.....which isnt easy at all

xx

Funny question, but have you considered "Danielle", cute when shortened to "Dani"...?

I was going to ask if you'd considered Danni for a girl? I was 100% convinced my lo was going to be a boy was set on Max so when she was a girl she became Maxi. But also like Ashleign, could become Asha too.

yeah i did think of Dani and spelling it that way and i mentioned it to OH but i think cause we had assosited the name so much with our little "boy" it just didnt feel right after that  but i Do love it for a girl too but oh is def not going for it which i can sorta understand in a funny way:thumbup:

I love Ashlynn!

I think it would be shortened to Ash though. I also like Asha and Ashton x

I love the name Ashlynn... it is so pretty and feminine... and a bit "different" without being "weird." I had it on my list with my first pregnancy! I know of a Danielle that goes by "Dani" which i absolutely love too!
