Opinions Please!!!**Cramps***

I just wanted to ask you ladies a question thats bothering me..........

On nov 4th i had a mmc i was 7 weeks but baby died at 5 (D&C again). I had a mmc in aug 2008 too (and D&C)and then got pg in oct 2008(2 months later) Well following my recent mmc in november im pregnant again (2months later) i am 5 weeks 3 days and for the past 3/4 days ive been getting quite painful cramps and stabbing at the sides, very noticeable! I m sure i am just really tuned in to my body because of the mc and im scared and noticing every little twinge!

But my question is this for all you ladies that have lost a baby and then got pg again in 2/3months.....Do you think your cramps are worse in this pregnancy because your body has already had ligament stretching and the uterus has grown,and then you had a loss and it all had to shrink back and now its all starting to grow again? Id just like some opinions as the cramps are worrying. I remember having them quite bad with my son after i had the mmc in aug 2008, and my sons pregnancy was fine although again because of my loss in the aug i was so scared the whole time and actually went to hospital twice in tears thinking id had another mmc because they were so painful!!

With the baby i lost recently it wasnt growing properly and i dont remember cramps like this, i think i only had them really mild and only once or twice then no more. These are stronger and more frequent but if i have a bath and lay down they go. Id love your opinions.....

hi... i am experiencing the exact same thing!!! i have had 2 miscarriages in the past 12 months... the last time i miscarried is the end of november. I have just found out i am pregnant but not sure by how many weeks... I had one period since having the miscarriage (not sure when) and i usually have a period the middle of each month... I have took 3 tests and the lines are very, very faint. The cramps started yesterday and i had them ALL day. They did ease when i was laying down too. When im sat up or stood up they hurt more. They are extremely painful but not painful enough to double over shouting 'ow' ... Went to bed last nite and woke a few times in the nite and noticed they had gone, didnt have them for at least an hr this morning and now they are back.... all i can remember with the misscarriages is the pain and the brown spotting...luckily i havent no spotting but i am forever checking... its so frightening though. fingers crossed for both of us. xx

hello! thank you for your reply!Im sory for your losses, its horrible isnt it. Didi you have a D&C at all? Im wondering if that makes it worse?...........................

no i havent had any d & c 's.... but since that day of bad cramping ive lost the baby.... With the last miscarriage i had bad cramping but was cramping whilst losing the baby... I only had a day of cramping with no blood with this one... started to bleed about 3 days later... cramping is common in pregnancy but i think you would know the difference between good and bad cramping... i did, and i knew i was going to miscarriage... good luck with your pregnancy and make sure you post a pic of the beautiful bundle when baby arrives.... xx

You know i think cramps are a good thing. During my last pregnancy I didn't have any sn and the baby hardly grew but when I've had cramps there's been a lot of growth, it's just in my case the cramps abruptly stop. Hope that eases some worry. With regards to fear, I am dreading my fear level for my fifth pregnancy I'm planning now, in my non pregnant state, how I'm going to cope with it. I get pregnant every time we try but never get past 9 weeks. All tests normal! Im still young and healthy.
