Hey ladies

first month ttc with hubby, I have sort of regular albeit long cycles ranging from 33-35 (on average) days. Started taking fertilaid a couple months back to help regulate then (and fertilaid cm since I never see that holy ewcm). I can attest to both that I've regulated and actually produce ewcm now but that's not why I'm posting!

Just looking for a little insight. Because of my cycles I never really know when I ov and I don't think checking CM is reliable either for me since it ranges. Temping is impossible due to shift work!
I started using opk (Internet cheapie from Fairhaven health) and out of curiosity I tested cd11, to my surprise I saw a pinkish test line form! Cd11 seems ultra early for a gal with 30+ day cycles to start ovulating so I let it go. On CD 13, curiosity got the best of me and I tested again to come up wth a 75% there dark line (but in opk land, still a negative). I continues testing once a day, afternoon/eve until today (CD 17). Since 13 the line had gradually faded now to an almost, barely there line, even lighter than cd11.

In my mind I feel like it's too early to have ovulated around day 14? Even though that technically perfectly average, but not if you have a 30+ day cycle?!

To b safe we did the deed CD 13, 14, 15, 16 (break tonight). I just need some opinions- zero ovulation or maybe I missed the surge? I feel like if I'm approaching ov the test line should at least be kinda pink at this point instead of fading to nothing.

Not sure if this OPK has just complicated things more or helped me nail ovulation this month, maybe I ovulated early all along?

Thoughts? Sorry for the long post!

Considering your cycles average 33-35 days it is not likely that you ovulated that early but you may have. Is your shift work consistent, do you work random shifts or is it always nights? If you have consistent shift work you should definitely give temping a shot, you may notice a pattern.

If possible have sex every other day from the last day of your period to the start of the next so you know you wont miss your window.

It's not consistent at all, mostly day shifts but I also get nights sprinkled in. It's a pain!
I kept up with the OPK just for good measure and the test line started to fade to almost nothing by CD 16, then it started re appearing 17, strong on 19 and 20 (but not considered positive by OPK standards) then faded again by cd20. I'm sure I'll miss the "surge". By CD 17-19 I started getting typical cramps I get, CM was pretty fluid.
Anyway to cover our bases we just had sex CD 18, 19, 20 and today (21) just incase ov happened anytime between CD 18-20.

Thanks for advice!

when i bought my fairhaven products i also bought the ibasal.. and i must say it was worth the purchase.. it wakes me up same time every morning.. takes reading and saves it so i can put it into my FF :) it helped me realize i Oed late
