Hi guys!

I am on month one of TTC and really in need of some insight. I received positive OPKs on Sunday and Monday of this week, and then negative on Wednesday and Thursday. However, I just got my temperature rise today (Friday). Can anyone guess why there was such a gap and what was going on in between the days of positive opk and temperature surge? I BD on Sunday and Monday and think most likely that was too soon now.

Many thanks in advance.

You should have ovulated the day before your temp rise. Meaning you should've ovulated on Thursday. An opk can read Positive up to 48 hrs before you ovulate. Are you certain that they were proper positives, as in as dark as or darker than control line? I've read that the most accurate way to chart is by temp and cervical mucus, therefore id be inclined to go with yesterday as ovulation day. Hope this helps x

I used OKP's for 8 months and no joy. The month I ignored OKPs and DTD when my CM was EWM - I got preggo! Hope this helps. xx

Agree with this.....temperature rises after ovulation and ovulation is typically 25-48 hours after first positive opk...so you probably ovulated Thursday x

all of the above, plus some people are slow risers - sometimes I wouldn't have a big shift in temp until 3 days after the O dip. Do you have an obvious dip?

I always get two days of positive OPKs, the day I get my first negative is the day that I ovulate, my temp rises the day after ovulation.
