+OPK when is it safe to stop?

We have BD'd the last 6 days in a row. I got my first positive OPK 2 days ago, even a stronger positive yesterday. TBH im quite tired of it LOL when is the safe day to stop after a positive OPK? Also how many days will my OPK stay positive? I noticed I had a fade in pattern when it was becoming positive, will it do that when my surge is over too?

And last question lol when do I start counting DPO, I used to go by CM only, but this month my EWCM came 2 days before my +OPK so I am lost LOL

I just took another ovulation test today, and its still very positive. The test line is much darker then the control line. Is this normal 3 days in a row? If so which day do I actually ovulate. I don't know when to start counting DPO.

me too particularly about the dpo thingamebob? do you go from +opk or not? cause + opk for me was 11.30am and ov can happen 12-48hrs later which means between + opk and tues 11.30am for me? Does that mean I wont be DPO until tues?

the way I understand it, is that the OPK detect the LH surge, and usually ovulation occurs 24-48 hours. I believe that after this, another day or 2 possibly - I think after that the egg starts to break down if it's not fertilized. you aslo have the fact that sperm can live up to 5 days (though I believe it can be as little as 18 hours...

All that said.. I would guess from the time you have the Positive first appear, an additional 3-4 days would be sufficient..

I ended up having very positive OPKs for 5 days (it could have been more I ran out of tests after that) The test line was much darker than the control line. I don't know what it means or why it happens but I did concieve so I guess it might be a good thing. I ended up counting ovulation as the day after my first +OPK and then tested + on a pregnancy test at 11dpo using that date. Hope this helps some Good Luck Ladies & Lots of Sticky Baby Dust!!!
