Af got me early. so I'm def getting opks this cycle... thinking about getting some on amazon. Um... I don't know what kind to get lol... whats a good kind to buy?

The OPKs are LH tests.

lol.. well some of them just say ovulation test, and others say ovulation test (LH)... now i feel dumb haha...

OPKs only predict ovulation by detecting the LH. You really can't confirm you have ovulated without tempting your bbt.

I use internet cheapie hpts from amazon but for ovulation I have used the cheapie ones before and have a hard time telling month to month if it is positive. I used them for three months and only one month was i absolutely sure, the others I had to analyze the lines and it was too confusing, I am on progesterone so I have to be sure since I cant start it until after I ovulate. I dont mind using cheapies for hpt since there is either a line or not but with the LH opk's the line HAS to be as dark or darker and some of the cheaper strips dont have as much dye in them or if you have it in too much urine some washes away so its hard to get a consistent reading. I fork over the money and get the clear blue digital on amazon (its cheaper on amazon) that way I either get a circle if I am not ovulating and a smiley face if I am

Thanks for the advice I think I'm gonna try the cheap ones first and also do the temp charting. I just wanna see that I'm ovulating in the first place.. the OH seems to think it's his fault for some reason.. but I think we have just been unlucky about when I've actually ovulated. This cycle there is gonna be a lot more BD!!
