orange period

I am a bit worried as I never had orange period! it started yesterday afternoon didnt really look at the colour but this morning I saw that it was orange...

and I was wondering what does it mean? am I worried about nothing or is there something wrong?

Never had this myself but I looked online and..

Orange: Sometimes when bright, red blood mixes with cervical fluid it can appear an almost orange color with red flecks. Bright orange period blood can also be a sign of infection, however, so if you see it frequently, or it doesn't also have a slippery consistency, see your doctor.

I wouldn't worry too much if it's red now. If it happens again maybe then give the doctor a call. Hope you feel better!
