So I was just reading Closer magazine, it has a few real life stories and one in particular made me feel sick. A woman had a baby but the baby wouldnt feed from her so she gave him formula, anyway she'd got a puppy and a kitten, and because she had problems with feeding them she started breastfeeding them. So she now breastfeeds her cat and dog and plans to continue doing it til around June.

Is it just me or is that the most hideous thing you have ever heard? There were even pictures of her breastfeeding them!!!!

It's no worse than making it in to ice cream and letting the general public eat it lol.

Yeh I saw that on the news!!

I think it is worse, cos the cat and dog suckle from her, she doesnt express it then give it to them!

I don't know, obviously its weird to us but its not exactly evil is it

And its DEFINITELY not the most hideous thing I've ever heard

I have to agree with you, thats disgusting!!! Why would anyone do that?! x

Same thing as a human drinking cows milk IMO. Just cutting out the middle man of 'expressing' the milk.
Still the wrong species!

Ok maybe not the most hideous but very disgusting!!! I have two cats no way would I ever have done that. Ewwwww!!!!

I'd mostly be worried about the teeth. Each to thier own I guess, but wonder why she feels the need to publish it in a magazine?

We don't tend to drink straight from the cow though lol

Yeh it is weird, people are going to judge her...I spose she gets paid for the story so thats why,

That's what I meant. The only difference between us drinking cows milk and what she's doing is that she cuts out the middle man. She lets them drink right from the source.

OH FFS she is feeding her pets breast milk right from the tap. Is disgusting. And most of all like the bloody ice cream nonsense, there are milk banks in desperate need of breast milk for premature human babies.

That is just plain wierd! Sorry!

Yerrr....Im feeling a bit  right now....That to me, isn't normal :nope:

lol who cares what she chooses to do, she's the one who is going to realise someday that she REALLY shouldn't have sold her story to the media

Each to their own opinion, but to me, thats horrible.
I have read a story in a magazine not that long ago where the daughter had to breastfeed her dad....yes her dad. He had some kind of illness and apparently this breastmilk was curing him. She was like 30 and her dad was about 55.But she actualy let him suckle at the breast....didnt even express it and put it into a cup or anything....really horrible.
Also watched human planet recently and there was a country where the women in the village breastfeed baby orphaned monkeys....the husbands had normaly killed the baby monkeys parents, so then this village would be swapped with baby orphaned monkeys being breast fed. One lady even had her baby of about 7 months on one breast and a baby monkey on the other....really looked wrong, infact wrong isnt the word...also on last weeks human planet, a lady in india was breast feeding a orphaned baby gazel...from her breast and not a bottle like they do with baby lambs.....
