OT - Story in Closer magazine

I feel really ill now , I'm very squemish and wish I hadn't read this now :dohh: that is the oddest thing I've heard all day

Well I'm sorry but I don't see how it's so wrong.

Yes of course the milk should go to babies. But who is she hurting? She's helping the animals

Each to their own opinion, but to me, thats horrible.
I have read a story in a magazine not that long ago where the daughter had to breastfeed her dad....yes her dad. He had some kind of illness and apparently this breastmilk was curing him. She was like 30 and her dad was about 55.But she actualy let him suckle at the breast....didnt even express it and put it into a cup or anything....really horrible. Also watched human planet recently and there was a country where the women in the village breastfeed baby orphaned monkeys....the husbands had normaly killed the baby monkeys parents, so then this village would be swapped with baby orphaned monkeys being breast fed. One lady even had her baby of about 7 months on one breast and a baby monkey on the other....really looked wrong, infact wrong isnt the word...also on last weeks human planet, a lady in india was breast feeding a orphaned baby gazel...from her breast and not a bottle like they do with baby lambs.....

Vomalicious

I agree. Although its not something I would do I don't know why people think it is sooo wrong, making out like she is perverted or something! I watched Human Planet a few weeks ago and it showed a tribe where women breastfeed orphaned monkeys, and I thought it was an amazing act of kindness.

You thought it was wrong? I thought it was incredibly kind and selfless.

Not really seeing a problem here - yes it sounds way up there on the list of unusual things, but humans drink cows milk, goats milk etc so not sure why it would be wrong for cat to consume human milk. Unless there's issues with the quality of the nutrients, it seems fine.

Because lot's of people are extremely narrow minded

It is an incredible act really. As you say, it's not something I would personally do, it's not something I consider horrific or disgusting

Women all over the world donate milk to animals an other babies. Not everyone has the ability to express.

I don't think its very nice to start name calling

He was extremely ill with cancer and she expressed milk for him but after a while she found the constant expressing - whilst trying to care for her sick father and look after her children - exhausting, so yes... she breastfed him. And his condition actually improved whilst drinking breastmilk. He often actually had it in his cereal / tea or basically in place of cows milk - it wasn't her totally breastfeeding him, just when she was tired.

what an disgusting horrible vile 'wrong' woman she must be... :dohh:

Giving milk is fine-as in expressing it, like you say we drink cows milk/goats milk, but we dont suckle from them.....
I think its wonderful how women will express their milk for premature babies in the special care units, but to have a cat/dog/monkey/gazel or your own dad hanging from your boob.....really?? Why cant they put it into a bottle and give it to them like that-obv not the dad-im sure he would need a pint glass of his daughters milk or something.

i read once about a woman who breastfed a puppy..lol xxx

I read this in closer too and i did think it was strange. Not something I would do personally but each to their own

But why do you have a problem with the suckling part? There is nothing sexual about breastfeeding, so I really don't understand why people have a particular problem with that part.

It had a picture of her dad suckling on her breast....now you tell me you would do this? Why couldnt she just express it all the time-yes i undertstand she will get tired, but she does not need her father sucking from her...
Everyone is going to have their own opinion, but im afraid this deffently is not for me.
Dont get me wrong if i was asked to express milk for babies in special care unit then i would. But i would not breast feed a animal-i would milk a cow or a goat and feed it to them from a bottle.
Like i said on my 1st post...each to their own opinions.

Lou, i just think theres a bit of a difference between a middle aged man suckling and a baby....Its just creepy, esp with her being his daughter too.
You have to admit, it isnt easy to swallow [scuse the pun ]

I didnt once say that breast feeding was sexual....its one of the best things you will be able to do for YOUR baby.

Yeah I agree, my initial reaction is 'oh, its weird'. But then I realise I only think its weird because our society's idea of what is 'good and moral' is so far ingrained in me that I'm unable to see it objectively! And objectively, its not that weird at all

Sexualization of breasts is one thing that is wrong with the world sometimes. I mean with all our human "sophistication" and "civilization" we still cannot think outside the box. I mean imagine that African lady going to look for a breast pump to plug into an imaginery electric supply in God knows where so as to feed the monkey lol because its weird for a monkey to feed directly off her boob.
