So, I'm not a complainer at all.. and I've had the best pregnancy you could ask for... but right now, I'm 34 weeks and my GROIN IS KILLING ME. To the point where I almost can't walk.

Seriously, does anyone else feel this pressure/pain down there? It's like right on the pelvis, feels like my legs are going to give out if I stand up!

I've left all the house cleaning till the last minute, now I can't stand up long enough to do the dishes..

Oh yea, and Now, I wish my arms were longer.. it's getting hard to wipe my tush! Seriously, nobody told me about all this stuff?!?! Hahahha JK, I love being pregnant!

I am worried too because from time to time I feel pressure and pain in my groin area. I wonder if that is normal

sounds just like spd to me - mine started with what i thought was a groin strain. the left side of my pubic bone and groin are always very uncomfortable now. mention it to your midwife and she should refer you for physio xx

Could also be baby dropping. My bub's dropped last week and I immediately had the most excruciating soft tissue kind of pain like Mike Tyson punched me square in the abdomen. x

I've been like this since 30 weeks, and it's just getting worse. The worst for me is turning over in bed!!

Oh Phew.. I'm not the only one. Yes, I agree it's alot when I'm switching positions in bed. And it certainly does feel like someone sucker punched me in the peach.

XEMMAX - What is spd? Should I be worried, or just put up with the pain?

have a read of this:
https://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/pelvicpain/

you don't need to worry, but unfortunately if it is SPD then it will stay with you until you give birth, sometimes for a while after. mention it to your midwife at your next appointment and she can decide what to do, but it definitely sounds like it to me. turning in bed is a NIGHTMARE for me, and when i wake up my pubic bone is so sore, and my entire pelvis stiff. it's very common, i find wearing a support band helps a lot when it is really bad.

just one of the lovely parts of pregnancy that no one tells you about!

x

i actually WISH i could say i feel your pain ladies... why won't my baby engageeeeeee?!! :dohh: xx

I agree that it has a lot to with baby dropping. I hadn't had a pain down there until one day, I looked in the mirror, and swore up and down the baby had dropped. Sure enough that was last Wednesday, I had a doctors appointment the same day and doc asked if baby had dropped, I mentioned that I thought so, so the doc checked. Baby is head down, front and center.
It seemed as though as soon as baby dropped, I had pain in my groin, mostly on the left side, but it is nearly Impossible to turn over in bed, and my god to get out of bed is very painful as well. I hope you don't suffer much longer!! Then again, I hope I don't suffer much longer! Lol

i've had a very sore groin too!! last friday it was SO tender and then eased off some and then i noticed today (was out shopping for 4hrs so being on my feet might've had something to do with it too.. ) it was really sore again.. i'm inclined to go with it's the baby dropping some more and everything down there - ligaments/muscles/tendons/etc - softening and opening and stretching more and more to allow babe out! i haven't noticed if i've dropped much at all but will take a closer lookSEE now that i'm home.. def gonna put my feet up and rest for the evening!
bless x

mine isnt baby engaging, one MW two weeks ago and doctor a couple of days ago said baby head is down but not engaged, not even a bit !!! so god knows what it could be

Haha ditto on the tush wiping! I'm only 29 weeks along, and I have a tough time wiping, and washing! The lovely parts of pregnancy. :happydance:

Is that what this is?? When i turn over in bed it feels like my pelvic bone is cracking or moving and it is as painful and when i get out of bed i feel like i cant walk for 2 minutes it hurts soooo bad....

I have had this too for the last few weeks- the other night it was so bad I couldn't lift my leg to get my trousers off so had to wait for hubby to come home so I could get undressed. I find that after sitting down, it takes a while to get going as it is quite painful to walk. I have 4 more weeks of work to go and wondering if I will make it through them or have to finish early

I went to my GP with this and it is SPD....the day starts not bad but gets worse and even if I do a few chores, it feels so sore and painful by night time, turning over in bed is agony. Ive used wheat sacks on my bum as my lower back aches badly! My pain is more in my left side and i do feel a pressure in my lady bits. GP said to call MW for specialist physio referral. Good Luck..get it sorted!

Ive had this groin pain for a couple of days now, I went to push something that was on the floor sideways with my foot and the pain was awful, I had to sit down.. Now moving in bed in very painful, and i feel a pressure to the back of my pelvis.. Im think it might be baby engaging, Im not sure if he's dropped or not?

I also keep waking up in the middle of the night with intense period pain :( Oh I hope it is baby engaging, Ive got a docs appointment next week, I'll ask him then!
