Our Boys names narrowed down...

OH and I are nearly there in deciding just what our little man is going to be called - would love some input from you lovely ladies.

We have a name each that we have chosen, and the rest are names we have mutually agreed on moreorless (OH is a tricky one when it comes to names ). The middle name is to be Leonard (or first name in one case) as this is the name of Tom's (OH's) granddad who has been quite unwell and we thought it would be nice to honor him with naming bubs after him And the surname is McBride.

Here are the names as shown in the poll with possible nicknames:
Oliver Leonard McBride (Ollie) - chosen by me It's also Tom's middle name (he hates it though )
Floyd Leonard McBride - chosen by Tom. I personally cannot stand it, but he's smitten
Aden Leonard McBride - an alternative to Aidan chosen by us both as it's a Gaelic name, and we both have Irish roots - Tom is a redhead hehe
Leonard Oliver McBride (Leo) - bit tricky as this is Tom's way of letting me have the name Leo, but he says he will strictly only call bubs Leonard...input please!!
Gabriel Leonard McBride (Gabe) - we both really liked this name, however every man and his dog (including family members) bashed it to death so we're no longer sure. Also, as has been mentioned by many the name may incite teasing (i.e. GAY-briel...) much to our dismay. The jury's still out on this one, though it is lovely.

I like Gabriel, although for some reason I always imagine someone with dark hair with that name. I also like Oliver and Aden, but the poll only let me pick one!

I knew a few Gabriels in grade school and they were never teased that I know of..its a nice name I like it
I love Oliver though!

I love Oliver (and Ollie for that matter) and I think Leo is cute as well. Gabriel McBride I like but for some reason don't like Gabe McBride. I vote for Ollie #1 and Leo (er "Leonard") as #2.

I like the sound of Oliver, but I really like Gabriel too...so I voted that one...I like Aden, but I don't think it has the same ring as Oliver or Gabriel...

Yay Oliver's winning so far I knew I'd made a good choice, though I'm happy with any of the names really...minus Floyd Showed OH that nobody so far had voted for Floyd and his response was this: "...I think your poll's broken!"

If we ever have a boy we're using Gabriel... but I'm not sure how much it would fit a red head... better for a brunette. Plus.. I like the way the first one flows with the other names better. So a different middle name would have made Gabriel my choice... but Ollie went better with the middle and last.

I like Gabriel & Oliver the best... but i voted for Gabriel bc it seems to be a bit less common. I am surprised your family and friends don't like this name... i think it's very nice!
