Our little Piper Rose is finally here!!

Well our little is finally here. The birth story is a bit long. My waters had ruptured, and been slowly leaking for 24+ hours and labor wasn't starting on its own. I was planning to have a homebirth. We went to the hospital for a physician's consult on what to do. They suggested inducing me on Pitocin. I decided to wait a few hours and rest to see what I wanted to do. At 11:00pm I had a big gush of bloody show and then I started having period like cramping with my contractions. So because labor was starting on its own we decided to go home and wait for things to happen. Another 12 hours went by and my contractions still weren't very active. So we went back to the hospital and they started me on Pictocin around 4pm. I went through about 5 1/2 hours of hard active labor with lots of back pain and ended up pushing for 1 hour to get her out. I didn't get an epidural, and did it all naturally. I ended up with a 3rd degree tear, but I have a beautiful 7lb 6oz healthy little girl. Her name is Piper Rose :happydance
So so worth all the pain!!!!
