So I have been considering buying the Ovacue FM. It is expensive so I want to make sure it will be useful to me.
My cycles are long. Usually 75ish days but can go past 200 sometimes. I have been reading a lot about it, instructions say to uuse it if cycles are shorter then 45 days. Anyone out there with longer cycles that use this? Will this help me?
I got two positive opks this cycles a week apart, I feel like I ovulated but temps are not showing it. I need something with accuracy. Please help, any advice at all?

Certainly not willing to do CBFM as I would have to buy a lot of strips

I am a newb so there are a LOT of things I don't know anything about, and a lot of things I only know enough about to be dangerous. :p I don't know anything about OvaCue, but I'll address a couple of other things and maybe in the process bump this up in case someone else can help you.

But what you're saying about the OPKs/temps kinda sounds like your body is gearing up to O but then it's not. It sounds like you tried to ovulate hence the first +opk, then for whatever reason you didn't, so then your body tried again (2nd +opk). If you really did ovulate, I think your temps would show it. Not trying to be a debbie downer but that's just how I've understood it. Best of luck to you and hope someone can help you with your Ovacue question. <3

I have the OvaCue and while I have normal 28 day cycles it has revealed a lot abut my body I didn't know! If you go to www.ovagraph.com there are forums on there with other ladies in your situation that may be able to help you. I do agree its expensive but I have not ever needed to buy OPKs or anything so I think in the long run its cheaper. Make sure you get the vaginal sensor because that is what confirms ovulation. Also, there is a wonderful woman named Sarah who is an OvaCue specialist I am sure she would be happy to address any of your concerns before you buy! Good luck and let me know if I can help you in any way. If you do decide to get it, interpreting the numbers can be tricky at first and I'd be happy to help you along the way.

Also, while I haven't gotten pregnant (not OvaCues fault as I have some issues) I have a very good friend who recommended the OvaCue to me and she has two OvaCue babies both first month using it! Its amazing.

Thank you both so much for your replies.
I was just diagnosed last week with PCOS, I always kinda knew I had it. Anyways I think I am going to hold off on it for now until this metformin regulates my cycle (hopefully), doc is going to put my on clomid, and if that doesn't work then I will get it. my cycles are so long so I just don't want to waste the money and it not help me. Thanks again for your replies!

I guarantee that it wouldn't be a waste of money. It reads your estrogen and progesterone levels so if you interpret the numbers correctly there is no way to not tell when or if you are ovulating. Most of the women who buy this have pcos. (Gosh, I sound like I work for the company!) Its just an amazing product and if I were in your situation I would buy it. But then again wait a month or two and see what the drugs can do for you. With PCOS its my understand that you may always have elevated LH levels so OPKs don't work. Since this monitor has nothing to do with LH its so different from anything else. Anyways, good luck and please let me know if you buy it, it can be so confusing at first and I would have gotten so frustrated if my friend wasn't able to help me out with the numbers.

Thank you for being so supportive. If I buy it then I will get a hold of you for sure, as im almost positive I wont understand it at first! Thanks again :hugs:
