Ovarian cyst! Anyone experience this before :(

Been in pain for 3 weeks come too find out I have an 1 inch ovarian cyst. He said this was a common on one and will go away on its own, but man it's painful. Anyone experience one? I thought these had to be removed...?

I had two at once (one on each side) and was told that they would go away. Had another ultra sound scan 4 months later and they had both gone! I think they are supposed to generally disappear by your next cycle due to your hormones making them disappear (or something like that). Fingers crossed yours goes away soon but if your pain continues for too long I would definitely ask for another ultra sound scan.
