hello ladies my doc seems to think i have an overactive thyroid and has booked me in for a bloodtest next week. ive searched the term on the net and found that it does cause infertility and ive been trying almost 3 years now with no luck. is there anybody else on here who has a overactive thyriod? im only 22, any advice or someone to share stories with would be greatly appriciated! thanks x

Hey Dinky!

I had an overactive thyroid years ago and it can affect fertility (I had to have mines removed as it was graves disiese). They will put you on drugs which will help reduce your levels and this will help!

Good luck with all your test hun!

Just to let you know some of my crazy symptoms:

Couldn't sleep - doing house work in the middle of the night
Sweats - even after coming out of a shower
Shakes - looked like I loved a good old drink
Temper - WILD and CRAZY
Weight loss - ate loads but kept losing weight

well i went for my blood test yesterday, the results should come back in 7-10 days so just gotta wait now! im still recovering from my lap which was done 5 days ago and im still in pain from it :( getting depressed about my shoulder pain now its unbearable. but they did find endo and they removed what they found, they did find it on my left ovary though which could of been preventing me from concieving before, and they also seperated my organs cause they were stuck together! ive been prescribed 4 months clomid so it should help me now. just wanted to let you know how it went x

:dust:

That's good new Dinky about the endo being removed :happydance: and fingers crossed this will put you on the right track, especially with the clomid!

Let me know how you get on with your thyroid results.
