I am 8 months PP and I still have some loose skin and near the incision - that little tiny bit of an overhang (which nobody else says they can notice!!!), well, I was wondering when that tightens up?

Hi I had a section around the same time and my tummy is the same, I dont think it does go away from what my friends have said also h/v said the same, although as I am pregnant again mine def won't be going anytime soon.
Someone did mention Pilate's is meant to help
Sorry I can't be of more help.
X

Thnx! It is the skin though so I don't think that type of exercise will help. I've been doing other exercises that are a nore intense workout. Oh well!

Megan I don't know about the overhang as I'm due to have an elective c section because of big baby (husband's genes no med conditions). I've been so undecided between natural, induction and planned section, what would you recommend as I see your gorgeous daughter was a bigger baby.

What do you mean, what would I recommend? If you mean what type of birth then definitely go for the c-section!!! Lily was massive lol and her head wouldn't even fit down my birth canal so we had to go to the c-section. But if that isn't what you mean then you can PM me and have a chat that way :)

Thanks megan, that's what I meant - what type of birth! I'm off to book an elective c section this morning with the Nhs consultant I'm under. I'm so nervous about not getting one now so late on, i was booked in for an induction 2 days over my due date but now I feel that an elective c is truly the best thing for my big baby! did they ever give you a reason for a big baby, is it just genetics like mine? My hubs was over ten and so was is father and father before that! Thanks for your help x

No they never did give me a reason, I think it's her dad though. He is built big, broad shoulders, big head lol etc. She looks like him so much so I think it is just genetics for us. I did the gestational diabetes test and it was all regular results so it was nothing medical that caused her to be large. It definitely sounds as if it is just genetics for you too

Yes def thing it is, I had the diabetes test too and all was fine!!

Booked in for c section for tomorrow!! Eeeeek! So excited! Thanks for your help xx
