first time this has happened, im due to ovulate on the 13th, last night we dtd and then today i get a stabbing pain in my side then have raw egg white like discharge... is this normal?

Yeah sounds normal to me, producing the correct type of CM and the stabbing pains could be you ovulating. Better get busy
