Ovulation-am I testing properly or am I even ovulating?!?

I have taken ovulation tests for 3 months now. I thought I got a positive test but now not so sure. I seem to get faint lines for a few days then one day a darkish line (but not as dark as control line) then nothing. Does that count or am I maybe testing at wrong time of day. I test between 4pm and 7pm due to work. Please help!

I hate the lines! I almost don't trust them anymore. I bought both the clearblue digital (smiley face) and the line test strips, and on both days I had negative with the lines I had positive with the smiley faces. Had I not bought the digital too, I would have thought I didn't ovulate at all this month. Might be worth the splurge for your peace of mind!

I got my clearblue digital on Amazon! I'll try to find the link. They were only $20 for an entire months supply. At the store they're $50, and the strips were $20. So I haven't even had to spend more money, which is nice!
